Joe “Bill” Clifton has been dedicated to his great musical idol for over forty years. He doesn’t play Haley – he lives him. It was not for nothing that a Swiss Haley fan once thanked him after a concert with the words “Your father was great, but you’re just great, too!”
He charmingly guides the audience through the program, chatting easily with them, always inventing new suspenseful bows to lead them to the next song, often in such a ludicrous and surprising way that the audience bursts out laughing – or did you know that Duke Ellington’s song “Caravan” was actually a galley beat in ancient Rome?
He skillfully interprets all Haley titles in their original sound and at the same time gives them his very own color – a rock’n’roller through and through, with full passion, from the bottom of his heart and full of power, a „steam engine of Rock’n’Roll“ as he was named by the music press.
